Final Project Event in Thermi

The Municipality of Thermi is organizing the Final Open Event on presenting the results of the Project “Actions for the Support and Enhancement of Social Entrepreneurship at Local Level” with the acronym “ACT SOCIAL” implemented under the INTERREG V ‐ A GREECE – BULGARIA 2014-2020 Program. The event will take place in the Cucltural Center of New Redestos on the 1st of October 2019 at 10:00 am.

The event will be welcomed by the Mayor of Thermi, Mr. Theodoros Papadopoulos, representatives of the beneficiaries from Bulgaria, as well as representatives of the Joint Secretariat of the Greece-Bulgaria Programme.

During the event, executives from the beneficiaries in Greece and Bulgaria will present the goals, actions and results of the ACT SOCIAL project. Special emphasis will be given to the project’s contribution to promoting social entrepreneurship in both territories.

In particular, the speakers will present the conclusions of the mapping studies in Greece and Bulgaria, the opportunities for development and the financing opportunities for social entrepreneurship in the two countries. Reference will also be made to the content of the training material and the e-learning platform created to provide free access to useful knowledge on the institutional framework, the necessary set-up procedures and critical management and management of social enterprises. Finally, the results of the training and consulting activities carried out in the framework of the ACT SOCIAL project to support existing and future social entrepreneurs will be presented.

Great interest is expected to be shown for the presentations of the participants in the pilot actions of the project who will show the activities of their social enterprises and the benefits they gained from the project activities, such as counseling, guidance and training seminars.

After the end of the end, light lunch will be provided.
